Married at 21 | Wedding Photos Recap

Stewart and I have officially been married one year (and one week!) and I figured I’d finally share some of my favorite wedding pictures with you all in honor of our anniversary! By now, you’ve probably seen them on my Instagram, since I posted nearly every day for like two months straight, or through my Facebook, since I posted a 300 picture album documenting our entire wedding…oops.  For this blog post I tried to pick out some pictures that weren’t posted on either platform that were also my favorites.

Our wedding day was captured by Moriah Sutton and she went above and beyond to document our day for us!  Fun fact: My mom and her friends DIY-ed the entire wedding day pretty much.  Our only “outside” vendors were the venue, photography, videography, hair and makeup and the popsicle cart!  It took a team to put together my wedding day, and I’m so thankful my mom and her friends from our church were willing to give their time and efforts into making my day as beautiful as it was.  Seriously, my mom did ALL the planning…I just added her to a private Pinterest board and said “here ya go!”  Luckily, she really loves this kind of stuff, or else my wedding day would have been a disaster hahaha.

Stewart and I got married during the busiest and most stressful time of our lives, but I wouldn’t change it for anything.  I was in my last semester of college, graduating a year early, taking 21 hours of classes, in a sorority, serving as a Young Life leader, starting my first job in a town 45 minutes away from college, AND running a photography business, oh yeah…and I decided to throw getting married in the middle of that. Stewart, meanwhile, was taking a full load of classes AND studying for the MCAT.  The MCAT on its own was more stressful than my entire load!  But like I said, I wouldn’t change it for anything.  We decided to get married “young” and before medical school because we knew that we wanted to be together through it all, the ups and the downs.  As I sit here typing this, I’m lying on the couch with the dog and Stewart just wrapped up a 9 hour day of studying.  It might not be ideal for most people our age, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

This post is by no means a full account of our wedding day, there were so many amazing parts, so to go through and properly do our day justice would take me forever.  These are just some of my favorite memories, so I hope you enjoy taking a look down memory lane like we did while going through our wedding gallery once again!
lots of love,
