I’ve been dying to show everyone Jordan’s bridal session!! I absolutely love bridal sessions because on the day of the wedding you have about 15 minutes total with the couple if you’re lucky, which doesn’t leave too much time for individuals. With a dress like Jordan’s and a custom Cathedral veil to match, you definitely want all the time you can get to do the dress justice! Jordan paired her Matthew Christopher gown with monogrammed Jack Rogers and a fresh bouquet designed by Something Pretty Floral.
I knew Jordan’s bridal session would be extra special because we had the entire Milestone Mansion to ourselves for a full two hours. Outside of her wedding details, the perfect additions to the session were vintage rentals from Warehouse Rose Rentals, a new antique and vintage rental company in the DFW area. Jennifer, the owner, reached out about using a few of the pieces from her growing collection and Jordan and I picked out a few favorites: two oversized peacock chairs and an emerald green settee! Most of Jennifer’s pieces are found through long days of intensive hunting with her mom–I thought that was so awesome that she shared such a fun part of her business process with her parents! If you’re ever in need of any furniture rentals for shoots or weddings, I’d definitely recommend Jennifer. She’s so easy to talk to and has a great selection of items! Plus, she’s currently adding a flower wall into her collection…yeah, like THE Kim Kardashian flower wall.
Jordan’s dress, mixed with the beautiful venue, antique rentals, and lush florals, made for a tricky selection process for the blog! I honestly had way too many favorites when I delivered her session, so I really had to hold myself back from showing every single one in this post! I think I’m just super excited to show off how beautiful Jordan looks so I couldn’t help but show a zillion–plus, I’ve had to keep these under wraps for weeks so now that I can finally share them, I’m definitely going all out!
On the wedding day, Jordan opted to do her first look without her veil, an unique option that’s quickly becoming one of my favorites! Doing a first look without your veil allows for there to still be some element of surprise when you walk down the aisle while having ample portrait time beforehand! Jordan’s floor length veil was definitely the perfect surprise for Alex as he saw her walk down the aisle. Since the sun had set by the completion of the ceremony, we did a few portraits of the two of them with the veil in the Milestone’s hallway, and it turned out to be the perfect location! To see some of my favorites from that set, you can check out their full wedding day blog.
Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below! My favorite portraits of Jordan are the ones where she’s leaning into the Mansion pillar. I actually printed it on business cards already because I loved it so much. Clearly I’m a big fan of Jordan!
I hope you enjoy looking through some of my favorites from her session!
