Ever since I moved to San Antonio last summer, the Pearl district has been one of my favorite places to visit in my free time! I love the Pearl’s Farmers Market on the weekends because one of the local vendors sells the besttt salsa. I currently have a backup jar in the pantry just in case I run out…oops. Plus, there’s always a ton of cute doggos out and about so there’s that! haha.
When planning for Regan and Aaron’s engagement session, Regan mentioned wanting a more industrial and “city” look. She suggested the Pearl area and I knew that would be the perfect spot for what she envisioned! It has a great mix of historic buildings and access to the sun setting behind the Riverwalk, which makes it so ideal for a session. This was my first time shooting at the Pearl since moving to the area, and I’m so glad I got to try out a new spot with these two!
Regan ended the session in one of her mom’s red gowns from back in her day, which made me love the dress that much more. She said how her mom kept all of her dresses, and I thought it was so sweet that Regan chose it for their session! The gown paired so perfectly with backdrop of the Riverwalk and greenery behind the Pearl!
Regan and Aaron get married next month, and I know it’s going to be a day to remember for them and all of their family coming in town! Their reception is going to be held on their family ranch, which only reiterates how much their families mean to them. They’ve been planning their wedding day alongside one of my sorority sisters, Julianna of Pen and Whistle Design Co., and I can’t wait to see everything fall into place!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement session! Can’t wait to share the rest!
