If you’ve read a few of my blog posts before, you know that I used to be a Young Life leader while in college in Denton! As a leader, I had the awesome privilege of serving the Freshman girls, which is how I met Hannah! I still remember the first time I hung with her group of friends. They were seriously SO fun to be around, and always joking with each other. It didn’t take long for us to all click, and just a few months later we all jumped on a bus to head to Young Life camp! Young Life gave me the opportunity of meeting some of the most amazing people, and I’m so thankful Hannah was one of them!
When Hannah’s mom reached out about booking Hannah’s senior session, I was WAY too excited! Not only was I honored that they’d want to book with me, but I was so excited to hang with Hannah again since it had been years since I graduated college. Hannah’s graduating in just a few months and I seriously can’t believe it. It feels like just yesterday I met her at Young Life!
For Hannah’s senior session, the only location we had set in mind was the Chairy Orchard in Denton. If you’ve ever been to Denton, you’ll know that a field covered in various chairs is probably the most “Denton” thing ever haha. The city’s filled with little quirky things like this. I had only seen this place in pictures, so it was cool to finally see this place in person! As far as the other locations, we just happened to get really lucky. I drove around for an hour before her session and just tried to find spots where the sun peaked through in the surrounding neighborhood!
Hannah planned the cutest outfits for her session! She had a perfect mix of styles, which went well with each location. My favorite outfit was her blue dress she wore at the creek since it made her eyes pop! Those are probably some of my favorite portraits ever!
Hannah heads off for college soon, and I can’t wait to see how God uses her in her first year. When I met Hannah her freshman year she was such a positive and joyful light in my life. I know she’ll be that same light to others during this “new” freshman year!
Hannah–best of luck to you with graduation and college! I can’t wait to see you kill it on the basketball court!
