Classic Wedding at Hidden Pines in Hurst | Hallie + Kirk

Hallie + Kirk | January 5, 2019

You know those couples and wedding days that literally just RADIATE joy?! When I think of Hallie and Kirk and their wedding day at Hidden Pines, that’s the main thing that comes to mind. SO much joy. Hallie and Kirk are two of the sweetest people out there, so of course their wedding day was filled with tons of laughter and pure happiness!

Hallie and Kirk’s families played a big role in the wedding day, which I loved! Hallie’s bridal party was made up of just her sister and Kirk’s sister (giving her more time to hang with her girls and be fully present on the wedding day), Hallie’s grandparents starred as the flower girl and ring bearers, and both families came up and prayed for them on stage during the ceremony after the newlyweds took communion.

All of those moments were amazing, however, my favorite had to be Hallie’s dad’s toast during the reception! It’s not often that the father of the bride gets a speech during the reception, so this was super special! Hallie’s dad talked about the first day she was born, and how he’s always been so careful and protective over her since then. He even included how on the day she was born, he followed the nurses alllll the way to another hospital room as they put Hallie’s hospital wristband on her. He didn’t want to take his eyes off of her…SO SWEET. He wrapped up his speech by saying how Hallie always had high standards, even as a kid. He spoke on how Kirk met and surpassed those standards, such a nice way to honor and toast to the newlyweds!

The rest of the reception went great, with a string trio performing in the background, lots of distant family catching up with one another, and a dessert table filllled with lots of bundt cake options! There was even a LATTE BAR outside! What?! I definitely ordered my “basic drink of choice,” the white chocolate mocha! haha.

As you can tell, Hallie and Kirk’s wedding at Hidden Pines was pretty amazing! I can’t wait for you to see some of my favorite moments below! I’m sharing just a small few of them, but I hope you enjoy! Head to Hallie and Kirk’s engagement session blog post to see the story behind her ring! Check out the cute gift Hallie got for Kirk! bride and groom portraits, Wedding at Hidden Pines Hurst by Gaby Caskey Photography bride and groom portraits, Wedding at Hidden Pines Hurst by Gaby Caskey Photography This field was right across the parking lot of Hidden Pines! Hallie’s grandparents were the flower girl and ring bearer, so cute!!
I love this shot of Kirk because he’s grabbing the tissue out of his hand as Hallie walks down the aisle! Also, this shot of Hallie and her dad stood out to me because they both had the same facial expression! If you zoom in on that frame, you’ll see the first note Kirk ever wrote Hallie. He borrowed a text book from her, and when he returned it, he left a note in it telling her how beautiful she was. Andddd gave her his number! HOW FREAKING SWEET?! This shot of Kirk’s parents was one of my favorites of the reception!
Wanted to end with a sweet candid of Hallie’s dad and Kirk’s dad shaking hands at the end of the wedding day, so presh!!
