Today on the blog I’m sharing some of my favorite images from Kelsey and Blake’s wedding day at the Nest at Ruth Farms! The story of how Kelsey and I came to work together is totally a God-thing, and I’m so glad everything worked out for the best!
The wedding week started out rainy and muggy, but thankfully we had perfect weather just in time for Saturday. It’s not often that you can have an outdoor ceremony in Texas (without feeling like you’re dying…haha)! Not only was the weather perfect, but the sun set right across the pond behind the ceremony altar. Seriously loved the setup of this venue!
I’ve never had a wedding day run as smooth as Kelsey’s did–seriously. Landace with Designed 2 Perfection planned the wedding, designed the invitation suite, AND did the florals for the wedding day. So crazy! And the wedding day was SEAMLESS! Landace took care of everything, and I can’t thank her enough for putting together such an awesome day! When the day runs smooth, that helps maximize the couple’s portrait time! Since Blake and Kelsey had a first look and had a few minutes of sunset portraits before the reception, I was able to add some variety to their gallery! That’s always a bonus!
Kelsey and Blake kept their wedding day decor fun and true to them by adding in hints of baseball-themed details throughout. Blake is a professional baseball player, so this was a great way to add a personal touch for them! One of the decor items included a home plate as the guest book–such a cute idea for anyone else who loves baseball!
Kelsey and Blake, I know you two are so incredibly happy that the days of long distance are over! Can’t wait to see all of the adventures (and new baseball fields!) you two experience in the years to come! Thanks so much for letting me play a small role in your day!
Kelsey and her mom have the sweetest relationship, so I made sure to capture that throughout the day as well!
The floral linens on the head table served as a great way to break up the reception layout!
Kelsey and her mom broke out into a surprise choreographed dance during their mother/daughter dance! Everyone loooved it!
