Some of the most common things I hear when someone inquires is that they've never had professional portraits before, they don't know what to wear, how to find the perfect location, or they're worried they'll be awkward in front of the camera. I get it, and I don't want you to worry about that at all!
My goal with each session is that you arrive feeling prepared and excited for your session, leaving you to enjoy the portrait experience with your family!

Outdoor sessions are my favorite, though they do come with the possibility of having unexpected weather scenarios! If we're seeing a definite chance of bad weather a few days in advance, we can reschedule or find an indoor location (such as a natural lit-studio). I like to make the final call 1-3 days in advance.
what do we do if it rains?

I schedule out sessions about 2-3 months in advance! As a general rule of thumb, I recommend reaching out the season before you'd like your session to take place.
To secure your session date, you'll sign a contract and pay your retainer fee, and from there' you're all set!

Before your session, I send over a detailed Portrait Session Prep Guide! It includes outfit inspiration, location ideas, and helpful tips to prep every member of your family for the sesh! Even the pups! The guide includes tips of what looks best on camera, clothing stores I'd recommend, and pet shops with cute accessories for your pups!

First off, everyone says this. You're not alone! Whenever people first inquire, a lot of them are worried they'll be awkward in front of the camera and I totally understand that because I've felt the same! At your session, I give lots of helpful direction, specific instructions and prompts, that way you feel confident every step of the way!
And as for the kids? I love getting a few "formal photos," but outside of that, it's so fun to let the kids just run around be little while they're young!

You can expect to receive your photos 2-3 weeks after your session! When your session is fully edited, you'll receive an email with a link to your online gallery. In your online gallery, you can view your images, download them, share them, and even order prints if you'd like!
Through your print shop in your gallery, you can customize gifts and prints for your home, family or friends!
