Texas Mansion Wedding | The Gaunts

To say I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time would definitely be an understatement!  I’ve been photographing Alex and Jordan since they started dating, and I’ve loved getting to see their relationship grow from the start.  From anniversary sessions, the proposal, to now the wedding day, I’ve shot with these two seven times…SEVEN! Jordan has always been the biggest fan and supporter of my work.  I’m so glad she chose me to document her wedding at the Milestone Mansion this November!! She’s so detailed with planning any shoot we’ve had, so I knew her wedding day would not only be amazing, but SMOOTH! Special thanks to Devan from Weddings by Stardust for keeping us on track all day–you were seriously a life saver!

One of my favorite parts of the day was working with a wedding party I knew so well!  Each of the bridesmaids were actually Delta Gamma sorority sisters with me and Jordan in college! They looked SO good in their navy bridesmaids dresses paired with their white and soft pink bouquets made by Something Pretty Floral! Each member of the wedding party was so kind and easy to work with.  I can’t thank them enough for helping the day go so well!

One of my favorite themes interwoven throughout the wedding was Jordan and Alex’s love for Hawaii! Jordan wore pearl earrings hand-picked from one of their previous trips–I thought that was a special way to add sentiment and value to her jewelry! As an ode to our sorority, Jordan framed her Hawaiian lei from Delta Gamma bid day as decor.  Knowing these two and their love for Hawaii, it made perfect sense that they had a sand ceremony as their wedding unity ceremony!  Plus, they had a cute turtle cork topper for the sand glasses! To transition the theme into the reception, they cut their cake to “I Lava You” and “Maui Medley.”  How cute is that!!  And of course, to top it all off, they set off on a honeymoon to Hawaii to enjoy their favorite place as husband and wife!

Like mentioned earlier, I’ve shot with these two seven times before.  I’m already looking forward to shoot #8!! Jordan and Alex, thanks again for choosing me for your special day! You two were a blast to work with and it’s so crazy to think that the day has come and gone.  I hope these pictures bring you back to November 4th at the Milestone Mansion and the day you became one.  Love you two!
