These two look familiar?? You probably remember them from their proposal on the blog back in March! In April we met up again, but this time to shoot their engagement session! My first step in planning an engagement session is always figuring out the locations. For Natt and Patricia’s sesh, they threw out the idea of shooting in downtown Lewisville. From there, I suggested ending their shoot on Lake Lewisville since we’d have a pretty sunset on the water. I hadn’t shot at either location before, but luckily Natt and Patricia had just picnicked at a spot on Lake Lewisville that would be perfect for their session!
Their picnicking spot, Sunset Point, turned out to be the perfect location to end their session! We shot and jammed out to the Greatest Showman soundtrack as the sun set on Lake Lewisville behind them. I mean, the Greatest Showman and golden hour sounds like a pretty great combo to me! The best part of this location is that it’s right in the middle of a residential area. It’s pretty uncommon to find a location like this that isn’t crowded with other photographers and couples. I love that we had this location all to ourselves for the evening!
These two have such fun and easygoing personalities, and I love that their joy was apparent in their session! Most of all, their love for one another was so evident through their constant smiles and laughter! Natt and Patricia, it was a blast getting to work with you two, thanks again for letting me document this special time in your lives!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their session!
I loved the light in this spot, also, I love that you can see the Courthouse (I’m just going to assume that’s what that is..haha) in the background! P.S., we may have *totally* interrupted a group of 40-something year old ladies doing a workout class on the lawn to get to this spot…oops.
I picked this spot along the street because of the cute pink awning!
The sun glowing off Lake Lewisville looks so dreamy here!!
This is one of my favorites because it captures both the ring and their love for one another!
