I’m so so excited to share some of my favorite portraits from Emily and Derek’s engagement session earlier this month! When Emily and Derek mentioned they lived in Grapevine, I knew Rockledge Park and Main St. in Grapevine would be perfect locations for their sesh. Also, I was super excited to shoot at these two spots since they’re both new locations for me!
We started their session on Main Street in Grapevine, a cute little street with tons of charm and character. Everyone always raves about how pretty Main St. is at Christmastime, but I’ve actually never even been on Main St. until their session! After finally walking downtown in person, I’ll definitely have to make a visit to Main St. this Holiday season!
After shooting all along Main Street, we headed over to Rockledge Park just a few minutes down the road. Rockledge is a park on Grapevine Lake filled with tons of little rocky ridges and cliffs along the water. It was honestly one of the prettiest (if not the prettiest) locations I have ever shot at! I had no idea anything like this existed in Texas, I mean, not within the DFW area at least! haha.
Pretty locations are always fun to shoot at (of course), but I love when the locations also have sentimental meaning to the couple. When we got to Rockledge, Derek pointed out that their favorite spot on the lake was just across the water. They had spent tons of time there with family and friends over the course of their relationship. Now after their engagement session they’ll have two spots that hold memories for them!
Emily and Derek, you two were so fun to be around, and I wish you nothing but the best as you head into your marriage! Enjoy!
Their favorite spot on the lake is right across the water where they’re looking out at!
This set below are my faves from their sesh!!
