ThyThy + Patrick | September 8, 2018
ThyThy and Patrick’s wedding day at Flying V Ranch started out with sprinkles of rain, which eventually turned into nonstop raining for most of the afternoon. Rain wasn’t going to ruin this day that ThyThy and Patrick looked forward to for so long though! They went with the flow and didn’t let the rain bog them down. Because of their positive attitudes, they were able to make the day as special as it was! Besides, you know what they say, rain is good luck on a wedding day!
ThyThy planned the wedding with hints of vintage and country/rustic decor throughout. Flying V Ranch was the perfect setting for this theme because of its all-white pews for the ceremony, the open acres of land, and the multiple outdoor reception areas. I’m so glad the rain cleared up minutes before the ceremony so that ThyThy and Patrick could have full use of the amazing property! I love that their guests had multiple spaces to enjoy during the reception. They could stay inside and dance along to the live country band, play yard games on the lawn, or talk amongst the other guests on the covered patio. There was even a paleta cart for guests to enjoy their favorite popsicle flavors!
One of my favorite aspects of the day was seeing how Tap, ThyThy and Patrick’s son, was involved in each part of the wedding. He stood beside his parents during the ceremony, danced with them for their first dance, and even took groomsmen portraits with Patrick and his guys, so cute!!
After getting married two years prior, ThyThy expressed how important it was that they “complete the union” and share their vows in front of their friends and family. Above all of the craziness of a wedding day, these two valued their friends and family. I love that!! ThyThy and Patrick ended the night with a sparkler exit surrounded by their biggest cheerleaders. I loved seeing all of their guests smile at the newlyweds as they made their grand exit! ThyThy and Patrick (and Tap!!), thanks so much for letting me be a part of your big day!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their big celebration! Dogs as ring bearers?! YES! Because who doesn’t love dogs?! So cute! When the sun FINALLY came out for the first time all day right at the tail end of bride and groom portraits!! Of course I was like “2 MORE MINUTES!!” haha.ThyThy incorporated intricate vintage details throughout the reception decor, like this floral detailing on the reception place cards! ThyThy’s aunt jumped up on stage with the band for a few songs, she’s so talented!
