Lily + Austin | September 7, 2019
Ashton Gardens
When I first met with Lily and Austin earlier this year, they talked all about their wedding day and what they were hoping for. Lily envisioned an elegant and neutral wedding day with a garden feel, and Ashton Gardens fit that look perfectly! I LOVEDDDD Lily’s gorgeous dress (dresses* actually!) against the classic look of the chapel. With the style of her dress (and the bridesmaids’ dresses), bridal details, and florals, she was able to tie in that look so well!
Right before the ceremony Lily and Austin exchanged notes to one another. After Austin finished reading Lily’s note, he turned to the photographers and videographers and said “Yup. She’s the one.” How sweet is that?!
For their wedding day at Ashton Gardens, they had a big priority on their family portraits going efficiently and capturing the overall guest experience. Through some photo timeline planning, Lily and I were able to map out the wedding day in detail so that things could run as smooth as possible! P.S., happy to report we finished family photos with time to spare, #CrushedIt.
After the ceremony, we moved onto the reception and had a BLAST! The ballroom at Ashton Gardens was packed with Lily and Austin’s family and friends. We started off the night with a toast from Lily’s parents thanking guests for celebrating with them, and welcoming Austin to the family, it was so sweet! If you saw Lily and Austin’s engagement session on my Instagram, you might remember the photo of the two of them fishing together. So it was no surprise that Austin’s groom’s cake was a MASSIVE fish!! haha. Lily and Austin partied the night away with their guests on the dance floor up until the final song of the night!
These were just a few little highlights from the day and I’ve shared a few other fun moments below. Lily and Austin, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day. From our first meeting at Craftwork Coffee to now, it’s been so great getting to know you two, and I wish you two nothing but the best! Loved this shot of Lily’s bridesmaids waiting on her to come out and show off her dress! When Lily took off the train skirt, I said “it’s like this is the first look!!” haha. I loved that she got two different looks out of one dress, so cool! The ballroom at Ashton Gardens matched the look of the day perfectly!! I felt like Austin’s cake needed its own moment on the blog haha. Loved these two photos of Austin and his family reacting to his brother’s toast!! Currently booking 2020 Weddings! Want more info?
