The Mansion at Colovista
Erin + Grant
Erin and Grant’s wedding day at the Mansion at Colovista was one I’ve looked forward to for quite a while! From the moment we met for their engagement session, Erin and Grant were the absolute sweetest to work with. They were so easygoing and fun to be around! Of course I knew they were awesome the moment they asked to end their engagement session with photos at a Spurs mural in town! haha. The wedding day wrapped up an amazing experience working with Erin and Grant! I loved getting to capture both their engagement session and Erin’s bridals also.
The wedding day style of simple, classic and hints of gold and green matched the traditional and elegant look of the Mansion at Colovista perfectly. The Mansion’s grand facade lined with columns is a showstopper upon arrival. The front lawn at the Mansion at Colovista served as the perfect backdrop for the wedding day portraits. I shared a few favorites below, though I had so many I loved from their day!
Since the sun set shortly after the ceremony, we prioritized completing the bulk of their portraits prior to the ceremony. Erin and Grant had an engagement session with me thankfully, so we accomplished a plethora of portraits within a short amount of time! I always tell my couples how helpful the engagement session is to the overall flow of their wedding day. The engagement session serves as the perfect “practice run” to how the day will go. Right after the first look and their portraits, Grant mentioned how happy he was they did an engagement session. That was the best little sign of confirmation right there!
Though capturing beautiful portraits is always a goal, I love going beyond that. I aim to fill the gallery with hidden moments and candids because I believe these truly tell the story. Some of my favorite moments of the wedding were the first looks Erin and Grant shared with their family before the ceremony. Before Erin did her first look with Grant, she chose to have a first look with her dad and her brothers. Each of them had the sweetest reactions. I loved seeing her brothers and their little ones smile and tear up as they saw Erin in her dress for the first time! After the first look with her family, Erin shared a private moment with Grant out on the Mansion’s front entryway. After their first look, they exchanged gifts with one another. Erin gifted Grant Spurs tickets which I thought was super cool! Go Spurs Go!
Erin and Grant’s wedding day had so many standout moments, and I can’t wait for you to see them below! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their wedding day at the Mansion at Colovista! When the celebration came to an end, Erin and Grant made their grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers lit by their family and friends. The portrait of them below in their classic Rolls Royce getaway car is definitely a favorite from the day!
