Rockledge Park Engagement Session
Taylor + Marcus
It was truly all due to chance that Taylor and Marcus met a few years back. Marcus, being new to the area, was trying out different Churches to find a new home Church. He visited Taylor’s Church, and ended up loving it and choosing to stick around! Over the next six months, they became best friends after hanging out and spending lots of time together at church events. Knowing how well they worked as friends, they both decided to give dating a chance! And well, from the looks of this post, you can see that was a great idea! haha.
When Marcus proposed, he flipped the surprise on Taylor…she never would have seen it coming! Marcus chose to propose on his birthday weekend, so Taylor planned out a special dinner for him. After dinner, Marcus took Taylor to a special spot he had set up with a string lights structure he and Taylor’s dad hand-built the weekend before. She thought she had planned out the evening, but turns out Marcus had some surprise plans of his own. So sweet!! Marcus proposed, Taylor said yes, and they celebrated with their family and friends afterward!
When planning out Taylor and Marcus’ engagement session, she knew from the start she wanted her session to take place at Rockledge Park. To add some variety into the gallery, we started the session at Grapevine Botanic Garden. Closer to golden hour, we made our way to our second location. Rockledge Park is one of the best hidden gems in the DFW area. The lake-side location has many cliffs overlooking the gorgeous sunsets on Lake Grapevine.
For their second outfits, Taylor and Marcus changed into a more formal, all-black look. Since it was a windy day, Taylor’s floor length gown freely blew in the wind, only adding to the epic look of the rocky cliffs!
Taylor and Marcus’ wedding day is quickly approaching, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Bowden in Keller! Until then, enjoy a few favorites from their engagement session at Rockledge Park!
